i love to tell tales on myself..about 3 years ago we hit a yard sale where they were cleaning out the cellar of magazines and books...i mean there were some great books on gardening and stamps..i grabbed an armfull for 3 dollars..but for some dumb reason I decided not to take one of the Album Weeds series of books..people who have been around a while know the album weeds series...they were created a long time ago...they do not cover modern fakes and forgeries..but they did an outstanding job of showing forgeries of the 19th and early 20th century issues..i am a cheap dummie !

Philb - I don't remember those books. They must have been a great series, though. I'm sorry you missed them - they sound like they woud have made a great addition to your philatelic library.

They are excellent books and expensive (100s of dollars) to get the complete set.

T360 yes I think there are at least 16 books..but as usual I can be wrong..the one book would have only been a token..it was hard to relate to the very early stamps described....
