There are minor errors on this 50 pf. 1889 ,Germany, brown, Mi 50 stamp.
Part of the line of the one the right
fingers is broken the shape of the shield also looks different. Is this a variety ?

I would not say variety but rather you are entering the world of "flyspecking". If you are unfamiliar with flyspecking use the forum search engine to find lots of examples of finding tiny anomalies in stamps. It can be quite interesting for the right collector.

Thank you,rogdcam . I admit I'm not familiar with this word. I will follow your advice and search through the records of the forum. I read tath there are many little differences in these issues and there is no doubt tath the information you've given would be very helpful for me.
