Hi all, I did a search in this forum but couldn't find what I was looking for. Does anyone know what Penny Red this one is?
Top left letter "I", top right letter "H", bottom left letter "L", bottom
right letter "I" (I think?!).
I have searched online but have not found a match yet.
Many thanks.

One reads the bottom brace,
the top pair are reversed

So your stamp is

l-L L-l

Simple eh?

Your plate number has a "4" in it, but image too poor to decipher.

Here is an example D-C C-D Plate 89

Penny Reds (and Blacks) are identified by the bottom two letters. So, if the letters are what you/we think they are, then you have an "LI" Penny Red.
Generally though, it's the plate number that matters more than the position.

I'd have a guess at 140, but you may be able to get a look from a better angle. Some collectors try to reconstruct the whole plate, but you need access to thousands of the stamps to embark on that journey.
