SG refers to a 'double bulge' below the 'O' of 'ONE' that appears to be visible below the left half of the nissen plate. In that Nissen example, there also is a white dot between 'ONE' and 'PENNY.' Neither is visible on plate 5 or the posted image.
Both check letters appear to have angled bases for plate 4, wheras they are flat on plat 5. The posted example appears somewhere in between.
The lower left ray of the left star shows a gap that occurs in the provided example of the Penny Red on the usual site. The problem is that on the posted stamp, it also appears in the right star of the posted image.
The 'D' appears weak. This happened with plate repairs using a roller with blank squares. This, again, is something that appears on plate 5.
I find this very difficult. But I think 5 is a closer match than 4. It might be a repaired state of plate 5.
