The USPS is no longer offering this custom service... I found that out the hard way by going to Zazzle to order some after putting it off... putting it off... longer and longer...

In Spain, more personalized stamps have been issued since it began than ordinary mail since 1850.
This is a series that was made for the 2009 National Philately Exhibition that a friend from Hondarribia gave me as a gift.

This is one of two sheets I bought literally the last day stamps.com could sell them - 15 June 2020. John Oliver of the program "Last Week Tonight". sold them through stamps.com and donated all the proceeds to the USPS due to their underfunding. Although he pointed out it was not expected to be a significant contribution as needed, he did it to symbolically point out the importance of stamp sales as a revenue source for the USPS.

It was a nice novelty item to my collection.

Two examples of personal stamps I had made in the past. The first was from the US featuring Clyde the greagle (may he rest in peace). The second is from when Canada offered personalized stamps featuring Romeo the chihuahua, who thinks he is world famous in a full booklet format.

Back in my mountain climbing days, and I always had camera gear along, I captured this image of my climbing partner in the pre-dawn hour at around 18,000' on Mexico's Pico de Orizaba. Always liked the image so I made a stamp of it. Looks to be back in 2007.
