Sometimes you get lucky and happen to peruse
ebay Buy It Now listings just as something gets posted... this was one of those times. I couldn't hit the button fast enough.
Not only is this one of the largest marginned examples of Scott R144 I've ever seen, but it also has 3 strikes from the Pacific Mail Steamship "HENRY CHAUNCEY".
Unfortunately there were 2 closed pinholes not disclosed in the listing, but in the global scheme of things, that's negligible. Somehow I don't think I'll be filing a SNAD claim on this one.
At retail this would be a $200+ item. Great aesthetics!
