Being a Worldwide collector like many thousands of other similar collectors there is no blueprint to follow as to how it is done . The rule is just follow what you see others doing over the past 100 years and do the same. But the problem is you don't see the step by step method that was used . What you see is the end result or the finish product .

It is also true that methods and problems change over the years ,what used to work 100 years ago and even 50 years ago,is not a issue anymore . We have different answers and different methods . The one thing that drives me nuts is all the experts who haven't touched a WW collection in 50 years of their life giving advice or know it all .

Collecting is totally different than 50 years ago when I looked at the different albums that were available and purchasing stamps .

@floortrader, that's a lovely page of Sweden, I love Swedish stamps they're restrained and refined. All their classic stamps are interesting, with enough varieties contained within that we're not just collecting stickers, and many of their more modern stamps are just gorgeous

How does a novice collector tell the real stamps from the fakes?
