LANDOQUAKES --- There is a certain satisfaction in every stamp collector ,when they fill a complete page . It is a small WOW moment in the daily life for everybody who has a interest in stamps .The price or cost isn't important as having that satisfaction .
It could be a $1.00 page or a $100.00 page of stamps , I tell the owner "nice page or looks good ".

Picked up two stamp lots this week at the Schuyler Rumsey Auctions in their December sales catalog . First lot was a country collection which didn't look well kept . Album pages were a mess but I start to find better stamps with good catalog and as I matched it to what I had , the purchase was good if I limited myself to a certain dollar amount . I set my max limit before the auction . As expected my limit was the high bid . With the work I put in studying the lot ,checking the catalog and checking -off my catalog with a red pen . I decided to push my bid number one tick higher, then quit .
Sure enough that one tick got me the lot .
The other lot was a junk lot because over the last 6 months I done a good job of emptying my closet of boxes so decided to shoot for a Christmas present for myself .....so my goal was to find something to keep me going thru the rest of football season and have two extra boxes to enjoy in front of the TV .

It was a strong and enjoyable auction. I won a Gems of Philately lot which will keep me on their catalog mailing list for another year, and two smaller lots in the December Sale. Fun times.

C.J. -Congratulations on winning what you wanted .

I was surprised how well those prices were. It seems bidders were all looking at the same stuff . Some prices held up very well.
