As many all ready know and have posted this before .
I have always enjoyed buying one of those end of stamp auction box lots . I spend most money on the country collections or speciality lots during a stamp auction . Then try to buy a entertainment lot to keep me busy after I finish remounting my major purchase . Over the many years have picked up lots of interesting stuff . |

A Richard Dudley Hawkins applied for a patent for "Mounts for postage stamps and the like" (Publication number GB2306125) in 1995. Quote:
A mount for attaching a postage stamp, ticket, postcard or other collectable sheet-like item to a page in an album comprises a tab 1, the surfaces 2, 2' of which are partially coated with an adhesive 3, 3'. The adhesive coatings may be of differing extents to allow the mount to remain preferentially attached to the item or the page when the item is detached from the page. The mounts can be cut from a roll of tape which is partly coated with adhesive on both sides. Alternatively, if the coatings are self-adhesive, the mounts can be packaged in blocks with the exposed adhesive surfaces of the uppermost and lowermost mounts protected by a flexible flap. The application was terminated in 1998. |

Reading the above description sounds like everything he talks about has already part of someones elses creation, I don't read anything new here . |
