On the nice Ubangi-Shari pages, I'm curious about why you have two of the 4c tiger and whether you considered adding a separate box for it.

Snopes --- It is a shade difference in the grass background, the color purple the reason . Doesn't show as well in the scan . If it was a perf. difference or a watermark then I put a pencil note near the stamp . I like to think it is due to a later printing .

Very nice stamps of Oubangui Shari. Like most of the French colonies, it's hard to get postally used copies.

Congrats on your black belt in BJJ. It's a great achievement.

I'm a judo practitioner and obtained by third degree black belt (sandan) at the age of 71.

mirman, that's a good point about the difficulty in finding postally used Ubangi-Chari. I wonder if that 25 cent might be a CTO?

Is the Tuscany 3L. Real?

One of the highest cataloguing singles, non-error stamps

I collect Italian States and am curious if this stamp is real or forgery?

Obviously Siegel thinks genuine

Never heard of this certification and it is old

RGSTAMP--- Looks good ,I would trust the firm ,if your going to bid on it .

It is a gem to have , if you say "3 Ocher" experience collectors would know which stamp you are talking about . There are those stamps you don't have go into a long explanation. Just Inverted Jenny , 5 pound orange ,Woodblock , and 3 skilling are all in the same class .

Thanks floortrader
I collect Tuscany "used" only and this is out of my league
Just a rarely seen stamp (used or unused) and there are forgeries out there

There are thousands of items that have been spread into the stamp hobby and especially thru E-BAY ,that nobody has been keeping a record of .

It is like every book on forgeries and fakes were issued 50 or more years ago . It is important that someone is building a file on these .

Landoquakes ----- I am sure there are parts that the APS would find interesting . Trying to keep my collection interesting and get beyond just filling spaces .
Always finding new subjects to collect and add to the collection. Picked up a Mexican Revolution owerprint collection and been buying some reference books on the subject .

Working on material from the recent Schuyler Rumsey Auction . Sorted everything out and waiting to print album pages ,ran out of printer ink .

Found a batch of album pages that came for the ride .So decided to add them to my Hungary album . These are what I like to call $2.00 pages . These are common modern sets of little value but do thicken out the binders and something to relax with and do while listening to the daily News .
