Landoquakes --- The article was in Linn's Stamp News in early 1990's ,just before my subscription expired , I let it go because their newspaper was getting smaller with less articles . |

Here is something different . My goal has always been not the most expensive or the biggest ,but to have something that was different ,different being hundreds or even thousands of items most people have not seen . Trying to fill a set of albums with material rarely seen ,it doesn't have to be expensive . |

I've always been attracted to Falkland Islands stamps. Unless you are trying to complete the 1933 Commemorative set, the ones that come after aren't too expensive. |

Landoquake ----- My goal over the past 10 years has been not to complete a country but to see how far down the path to build a worldwide collection . There has been many others also working on the same goal . So I had to make mine a little different with a "stamp from everywhere " then " a lot of complete sets " then a good showing of " foot note items " and a vast amount of "listed and unlisted shades " . I guess this list of subjects included loses a lot of other collectors . |

I don't understand your note on your Turks and Caicos stamp. A 1/4-d stamp was needed, and used.
When the 1909 Edward VII set was issued, there was no farthing stamp issued. The farthing stamp was issued a year later, 1910, with a cactus instead of the king, first in rosy mauve, and then reds, before eventually switching to black circa 1926.
I agree with the assessment, but I'm not tracking the reason.
My 2d eight farthings. |

CJD ---- Understood , the green stamp was issued in 1900 for Turks &Caicos. The red 1/4 d. or one farthing stamp was issued both in 1910 and 1911 . Why ,I have no research or idea why it was issued maybe postal rates were changed ,but have no way to prove it . I took the information from a glassine notes with the stamp inside . Then printed my own page with that information . |

CJD ----- Without a clear opinion , I will repeat what was written on the glassine envelope . Just guessing with that nice machine overprint it looks like a proof or a test . Just don't get that deep into studying it . There is that 10 years for demand to buildup for a 1/4 penny stamp . Just not sure 100%. |

Regarding the 50 Tausend Mark stamp colors: Per the Michel Specialized, 2014 edition, there are two colors, 275a is dark ochre CV 0.50 euro, 275b is brown ochre CV 4 euro. And both colors have shade variations.
There is also a footnote for a brown olive color which is noted as being printer's waste. |

Everybody here all ready understands ,that I am a person who gets into various shades of stamps ,that means my album pages hold a large section of various shades . In my Roman States pages they hold a huge percentage of these type of stamps . |
