received in the mail today, finally! And in like new condition.

For those unfamiliar with this catalogue, this was one of the last single editions predating the Brusden White seperate specialist volumes.
And the 42nd edition is a hardcover book which was probaby because the 41st edition was a paperback that suffered from pages letting loose.
I purchased the 41st edition back in 1981 when I was visiting relatives in Australia with my parents. I was 15 years old and ecstatic about this detailed catalogue with all the listed flaws. Unfortunately I donot have it anymore as all pages were coming loose after time and this frustated me so much that it put it in the waste bin.
I am not sure if there are members owning the 41st of 42nd edition but the pages have a very distinct smell.
Once I opened the book today, that smell brought me back about 40 years.
