XYPlorer File Manager for Windows
https://www.xyplorer.com/
$34.95 Licence never expires 1 user, any amount of computers

For anyone who employs an image based Philatelic Database.

Some tips and tricks
(Caveat XYPlorer noob)

Global Search F3 (Across all Folders)
(Can also check Visual Filter)

Back to File Tree (Left Arrow)

Preview pane CTRL F11
Floating Image (Your stamp full screen) F11

Generate a File listing
(If you have blank images as part of a "Want List")
If your naming convention includes "surcharges" eg See every Chinese stamp with a surcharge
same with "Opt"

Thematic : Search Global for say "Owls"
(My collection >400,000 stamps takes about 3 seconds)
Then print out a File listing

The XYPlorer Top bar
Window / (tick) show Info panel / Reports / Current List / Selected Files only.

Example My Australia "1973" stamps
shows when Image was first created, then date it was last "Modified"
Info Panel.

Renaming
If you accidentally name a stamp identically, in the same folder
XY gives you 3 options to repair, or automatically add a suffix.
Saves heaps of typing

If I have say 20 KGV stamps identical in Cat Number, but with different Postmarks
I simply select all, type ID once, and hit enter
All 20 stamps are labelled identically with suffix 1-20

ACDSee never did that, and made you rename the stamp again
(in my version)

Building your explorer Tree

Simple Click your parent Folder
CTRL N installs a new folder for naming.

I find this method easier to locate Large Volumes of currency value stamps
Say 32c, I search Globally on US, I have 349 stamps to look through to find a particular stamp.
If I search 1996 etc, I get 50

If your text string naming regime is accurate
you should be able to find the stamp Globally on US with 1 click.
Naming regime is so important with image based database.
