Here is a 1939 Postal Tax that has received a Censor stamp.
Would anyone have a better example of this cancellation preferably tied to piece?
Thanks in advance.

Lovely stamp Tony, first time seen for moi.
I don't want to rain on your parade
but that CDS cancellation looks a little sus.
Tracy Barber was an expert on those IIRC.

Oh, I agree with you. The black stuff is crap.
I just would like to see a complete
Censor .... something ... something
on a cover or piece or whatever.
I bet you it's interesting.
AND did you notice the single hole perfin (looks like a black dot)?
I hadn't noticed it at first.

Yes, I noticed the hole, (doubt if it is a perfin)
The very early stamps of Europe (GB?) sometimes come with a single puncture
as people would save (collect?) stamps by threading them together
with a needle and yarn.

Your stamp seems to posess a very precise hole, and I would suggest it is a revenue cancel puncture.

Nope, that's a postal usage, regular cancel plus censor mark. Melilla?

The hole is not a perfin. Bug hole?

The best of that stsmp is the shade.
