Gay And Lesbian History On Stamps

The objectives of Gay and Lesbian History on Stamps are to promote the interest in the collection, study and dissemination of knowledge of world-wide philatelic material that depicts:

1) Notable men & women and their contributions to society for whom historical evidence exists of homosexual or bisexual orientation
2) Mythology, historical events and ideas significant in the history of gay culture
3) Flora and fauna scientifically proven to having prominent homosexual behavior.

Even though emphasis is placed on the above aspects of stamp collecting, GLHS strongly encourages other philatelic endeavors.

This is the first stamp issued with an explicitly LGBTQ-related theme. It was released on 3 July 2010, commemorating 15 years of the Rainbow Parade in Vienna, Austria.

I thought common sense would dictate it but I guess I have to say it. When I lock a topic it doesn't mean it's ok to immediately start a new one. It's a great topic indeed, one close to my heart, that I have absolutely no issue with, but people here cannot stay on track and behave. I'm sick tired of the constant emails about it.
