Is the only difference between the RD1-10 and RD33-36 groups of Stock Transfer stamps is the overprint font? Scott Specialized is a little unclear on this, and pictures online are all over the place.

Or do RD33-36 lack a watermark?

Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance

RD1-10 is sans serif (no serifs), the other set has serifs. Fancier overprints.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Just the font is all you need to distinguish them.

RD1-10, simple font:

RD33-36, fancier font. Look at the serifs on the T, S, and F, or the tail of the R, for example:

You are right, don't always trust what you see online. Here is someone selling a set of RD33-36 but the 50c looks to me like it is from the first set.

Lalo.Man,
RD1-RD18 are perf 11 sans serif.
RD25-RD32 are perf 10 sans serif.
RD33-RD38 are perf 11 serif.
So, yes, you got it right.
Just to be clear, RD12 is a $1 denomination stamp with a black letter overprint.
RD31 is a $2 stamp, black overprint.
RD37 is a $1 stamp, black overprint.

Lalo.Man,
It would help us to help you to know what printed or electronic reference you are using to learn about these stamps.
The thread here suggests you do not have a fairly recent Scott Specialized catalog, but are trying to learn from some other source.

I started with the 2023 US/BNA Postage Stamp Catalog then at the begining of the year I purchased Scotts 2023 Specialized Catalogue. So much more information in Scotts I've had it for less than a year. I try reading it almost daily . Online sources are TheSwedishTiger Stampsmarter.org and I use Hipstamp to get a good visual and compare .started collecting about 4.5 years ago and got real serious about 2 years in .
