I think fewer people now are using the
ebay Feedback system.
I think that having a low, or no, revised Feedbacks does not mean that much. For example,
ebay removes negative feedbacks when they are over one year uses positive feedbacks in the score forever. Is showing buyers a negative feedback important on day 364 but magically on day 366 it is no longer important? If negative feedbacks 'go away' after 365 days why do not positive feedbacks do the same? (Note that
ebay drops the negative feedbacks after a year by no longer using them to calculate the account feedback score. If you manually dig back into the old feedback messages you can find them but how many people bother to do this? I assume that the overwhelming majority of people only consider the current
ebay feedback score when deciding to make a purchase.) But to your question about % feedback ratios, are you talking about the manipulated % ratio or going back and manually calculating the real feedback ratio yourself? (this is a rhetorical question from me)
There are numerous other reasons that the
ebay feedback system is badly flawed but they have been covered many times. I think that ultimately there are really great
ebay sellers who have less than great feedback scores and there are some awful sellers who have 100% positive feedback scores. So its value is not clear to me and I try to spend as little amount of time on it as I can.
I do think that good communications, including providing feedback on transactions, is important in a business relationship. It takes only a minute or two to send a message to a buyer or seller offering useful feedback and this demonstrates a desire to have an on-going business relationship.
