Quote:So the mattress has a lot less stuffing in it now.
https://goscf.com/t/79195 has the story in a couple of posts and from that I quote:

Pay me whenever there is absolutely no rush. I just need to get it off my inventory. How much are we talking? Suddenly I found the item was repriced down to exactly to top of the range I was willing to pay.
No mattress fluff lost, but thank you for your concern. Now back in the day when money was much tighter for a young guy then, I put an extra coat of wax on the floor to compensate for what was left of my mattress after Stanley sold me my JQ1-5 P2a set. The price was fair, the friendly terms set within my means. I think Stanley enjoyed the fact they were being united with a Q1-12P2a set and since then has remained the only united red and green P2a set outside the government.
After 30 plus years it remains the only for sure (may be one other, but with one damaged proof) complete set of the JQ Panama Pacific International Exhibition die proofs pulled for display in the model post office. Seems another deep, deep, postage due specialist, who wrote some books, bought up all the other JQ-3 values as individual proofs. For some reason he likes the nickle value.
