I've been trying to learn more about Farley's Follies stamps and there are a lot of good threads here that have been very helpful.

Someone previously noted these two stamps as #769 and #770 in the stock book I acquired. Based on what I've read, I think they might be, but looking for those more knowledgeable to help me understand what I have here so I can get them into the right places in my album.

Thanks in advance for your opinion on these.

Singles from the S/S of 6 for each design, 769 and 770.

The "singles" from 769a and 770a can only be determined with the between sheet gutters which usually results in pairs or larger multiples.

Run the numbers in ebay and you will see.

Back in 2017 one of our members, Stampman2002 did an excellent thread on the National Parks and the Farley reprints. It runs 10 pages. Here's page 1

Thank you for the replies. Very much appreciated, and wow - that is an extensive discussion of this topic - not sure how I missed that in my previous searches!

This is probably described in the linked thread but I didn't read all 10 pages ...

To clarify, the examples of 769a and 770a from 1935 pictured above can be distinguished from the 1934 issue 750a and 751a because the margins on these are slightly larger than what would come from the 750/751.

The 769/770 were issued in panes of 20 souvenir sheets, as pictured below, while the 750/751 were only issued as single souvenir sheets of six stamps, and relatively narrow margins around the edges of the sheet. When cut up, the 769/770 are virtually indistinguishable from 750/751 unless they are cut up to include gutters, larger margins, or other multiples like PPG described.

Edit: broken link.
Edit: still broken. Something about the ¢ symbol or the apostrophe, doesn't seem to be making it through copy&paste.

Within the last few years there was a long series of monthly articles on the National Parks series in The (United States) Specialist, the journal of the USSS (United States Stamp Society formerly the BIA). I believe but am not certain the SCF poster of the thread to which you were linked was also the author of the in depth study in The Specialist.

Greg (stampman2002) started adding his NATIONAL PARKS POSTAGE STAMPS EXHIBITS material to Stamp Smarter (link below) but unfortunately he passed away before completing it. I left his work published in honor of him.
