I cannot seem to be able to find out whether this is a cut square from an envelope or a trimmed label for use on an envelope. What is throwing me off is that there are remnants of gum on the reverse which would seem to imply that it is not from an envelope.

Anyone able to expand on this?

This cover is currently on ebay. No doubt being printed on the flap explains the gum you see on yours.

Can't say that I have ever seen that before. Thanks for the explanation and the photo that confirms my suspicion that it is a cut square.
