What some freely give away can have value to others. Likewise this may not have had any value to the lister but they want it to go to a home for which it would be seen for what it is; be that home a collector or a reseller.
Free is free on Craig's List. Reply yes and pick it up, then decide. Since you asked for photos (more work for poster) I too would have passed on you and went to the first person who understood free means come get it it is free and give it a happy new home.
There was a thread here where a Craig's list add was mentioned. The usual negative comments were made including it being a hoax. However, all who went and purchased materiel made big money. The only dealer who went and examined the material in person and passed was dealer Stanley Pillar who immediately know whose stock it was. Stanley realized as such it was not up to Stanley's as he sold that dealer much stuff. In that case some guys were hired to clear the house of a cluttered bunch of stuff for the house to be sold. The heirs had zero interest in the contents and only wanted to sell the San Francisco property. These guy did as told and carted off all of the stuff for disposal but one guy though the stamps may be worth researching. Bingo, a win for the guys and a win for all the dealers/collector who purchased material by the banker's box at about 10-15% of wholesale (no not catalog, but 10-15% of what a dealer would pay. The biggest winner was of course the hobby as the materiel returned to the hobby and not ended up as recycle paper. Oh, the albums, stock books, stock sheets, etc filled half of a large garage.
Craig's List Free: Snooze and you lose.

No reason to give away $550 plus in albums.
I have $10s of thousands worth of "Craig's List Free" items (no stamps) which were willing given away for free. For some disposal is just too much effort for the return for the money. List, take first person, arrange pick up and hope the person does not flake. I avoid lists which say it is by the door, driveway or garage as I was almost never the first one there.
