sharing my Nicaragua sheetlet that was introduced to commemorate the tenth worldwide baseball season.

Very interesting. I wonder what sport they would depict on a miniature sheet commemorating the world football championships. Gymnastics?

The 26-stamp set was issued to commemorate the 10th World Series of Amateur Baseball, as the Spanish inscription says.

The 15-centavo stamp inscribed "Correos" pictures baseball.

The 30-centavo stamp inscribed "Aereo" pictures baseball.

The stamps are Scott 717-729 and C296-C308.

The other 24 stamps picture other sports, plus Scouting and the proposed sports stadium to be built in Managua.

All 26 stamps were issued in larger sheets and small sheets of four, as the original poster shows.

Most of the stamps were used extensively on mail, the córdoba denominations not so much.

good idea to add the write up with the stamps for next time

am new to stamp boarding and am learning everyday.

but I also found it strange that they used all those sports on stamps for the baseball championships.
