Funcitypapa posted a few of his Belgian Congo stamps here before we actually met in person years ago, and well, this happened. Working on the Sc 11 to complete the entirety, but a few pages from the earlier material here.

Sad that such beautiful stamps came from such a horrible regime. Not to focus on the negative or wax political, but other European countries were even taken aback at the horrors that occurred in the Belgian Congo. Worth some time to read a bit of the history from this time and place. Hopefully history will never repeat itself; unless through stamps.

I don't know what it is about these bi-colored, engine-turned, engraved stamps, but I love the way they look!!!

Thank you very much, Andy, for sharing with us these great designed stamps! I like very much the stamps Belgium issued for Congo, most of them well designed and engraved. Please, let me join and share from my collection.

This set is not complete. I have the rest of the stamps and need to redesign the page and insert them:

One stamp in high resolution to show the delicate engraving:

Thanks, Andy! yes, I create my own album pages using Microsoft Publisher which is a software supplied with the Office package. The pages I posted above are the only from Belgian Congo, I have another set or two but they are housed in stock book.
