Airmail Label By The US Post Office

Can someone tell us more about this Airmail label .

First ,I don't think it is a private label , my thinking it was made by one of the private Airmail flight contractors but it has no name so it leaves me to think it was issued by the U.S. Post Office . maybe it should be listed in the catalog with the Philatelic Truck .

Second ,it is too large for a envelope that was used for regular airmail .

Maybe someone know more of it's purpose other than "Please reply by Airmail "

No, it was just the sender goofing around with a privately printed label that has no relationship to any USPS service, basically decorating the envelope. I have a tin of an assortment of similar labels - I think I got it at a greeting card store or a museum gift shop.
