Some beautiful covers in today's Harmer sale. Lot 1, 3X2, hammered for $115k. Lot 5, 11Xe (St Louis Bears) hammered for $230k. Beautiful pieces.

Yep. I and one other bidder noticed that Lot 11 was mis-described as a strip of 3 10c Ty IIs on cover. In fact, it is positions 1-2-3R1, with 3R being a Ty IV. Similar covers have sold for 5K++. I ran him up a ways. If I hadn't been holding out for stuff later in the sale, I would have gone after this one harder, as it is a great item. I got blown out on everything else though.
