Hi all, I've this Finland stamp, Mi/Yv 59, green omited in oval center, and I need your help, because I don´t know if is real variety o fake..... Thanks in advance.

You can see remnants of the green. It is faded.

I cannot see with the magnifying glass the remnants of green in the oval. Perhaps the color may have been artificially altered, but is rare that the lilac has not altered. I'll try with the microscope anyway.

Gurajazz I cropped the image you posted to focus on different areas of the stamp. In the image below, it's easy to see there are remnants of the green in the center of the stamp when compared to the color of the paper in the margins. So I would also vote that the center is faded, though possibly not a "forgery."

I've many copies of this and I tried to alter in a pair of copies, only the green of the oval and it was not possible without affecting the lilac and the postmark. Whoever did it, did a "surgical" job.

It was not altered. It naturally degraded from environmental conditions. For these greens it is not unheard of.
