US Scott 1030, First Day Of Issue

I like to put my stamps in chronological order, and I'm having a tough time with Scott 1030. It's the Franklin half cent stamp in the liberty series. My catalog has a year for it, 1955. However I saw on Mystics website a date of May of 1958. Anyone know which is right or is neither correct? John

Thank you. I read about the dry and wet printing but I didn't know they used both processes for the same stamp.

No first day for the 1958 dry printing with "May" as the Scott listed date, no EDU (earliest dated usage) noted.
