You could look for phosphor bars on those stamps
What information will that reveal?
To summarise what I find wrong in
ebay activities:
In the first example, the buyer asked for GBP 11.50 for the item.
If he had managed the shipment himself, he would have asked whatever the shipping fee was and ended up with GBP 11.50.
By using
ebay shipping, he had to pay inland shipping, so his final gain was 11.50-8.20= GBP 3.30
The buyer paid
ebay GBP 35.50, and
ebay used an undisclosed amount of that for the shipping fee.
In the second example, for similar items from the same seller to the same destination,
ebay's shipment fee varied from GBP 27.50 to GBP 43.90 with no known cause.
So
ebay's Global Shipping Program and
ebay's policies are used to extract more money from both buyers and sellers:
Sellers - besides the fee they pay
ebay for every sale, they have to pay to send their shipment to the
ebay center.
Buyers - charged with bogus shipment fee that
ebay hide from their clients. In the above example,
ebay added GBP 16 just like that. How many deals take place in a year? 100,000s? Millions?
