I received an email from Linn's about renewing my subscription. This is the first renewal after the Scott Montly and Linn's weekly.
The invoice was for $29.99 which is only now 52 weekly issues per the website A monthly and weekly digital combo is $44.99. The standalone monthly digital is $24.99. I wonder if I will receive a second invoice but plan to call them to renew at the $44.99 (less than what give to SCF).
The all print except for 28 digital Linn's is $99.99.
I had an email from them a couple of months ago and when I followed the links to renew, it was not at all clear what new option was the closest equivalent for what I already had.
When I finally decided on one of the choices as the most likely, I got an error message when I clicked on it.
I ended up calling them and working out which option and giving them the payment info. It wasn't that onerous or long a wait but it would have been nice if the online renewal had been clearer, and had worked when I made my choice.
Quite a while back, I did get an email from Linn's stating that the costs of all subscriptions was going to go up. The email said that if you renewed before a certain date (can't remember when it was), you could lock in your current rate for up to five (5) years. I went ahead and locked mine in for three (3) years and I'm good to go. Yes, the price has gone up like everything else but I really enjoy reading Linn's. I will definitely renew mine when my current one is up at whatever the price will be. Still one of the best publications for the hobby in my opinion.
