I've come across a trove of these and other stamps canceled in the Netherlands, most saying December on them but no denomination. But I'm not sure of just what these are. Are they postage stamps? Or holiday (Xmas) labels? Or some other kind of Cinderella? I'd appreciate being informed by someone. My thanks in advance.
The Christmas stamps, or December stamps as we call them, are valid on seasonal mail in December, until 6 January (Epiphany that is not a festivity here). After that, they remain valid, but you have to add the discounted amount.
After 6 January (issues since 2010) the discount on the ordinary basic inland tariff has been 10 cents.
