Siegel To Sell Bleckwenn Collection Of First Issue Revenues

For sure it makes me wish I had hit a big lottery.......

just flipping through the catalog, a lot of the estimates seem low

Siegel estimates often are. They had a cover in the last sale yesterday estimated at $500-$750 that sold for $25,000. They are usually not that far off, but low is not uncommon.

Their large lots are always way low. Like by a factor of ten low.

rev - rather than us searching the whole sale, what was the cover that went for $25k vs $500-750?

Lot 6051 of the Magnolia sale.

6052 went for $10,000 on an estimate of $300-$400. A lot of lots in this sale went well over the estimates.

6095, 6120, 6131, 6139, 6151, 6157, 6159, also blew away the estimates, among many others.

Just received my printed catalog in the mail today. PDF is posted on Siegel's website.

A really amazing collection. I collect revenues but no more so than other US and world stamps. But I look at catalogs. This is a showstopper and eye popper of a collection. Just one area of revenues. But from quality to quantity to virtually never seen items all are on display.
Siegel did a great job on catalog too. For me, best items are seen best in the catalog. But the online shows PDFs of larger lots.

I just received my printed catalog. All I can say is "Wow!"

I already tried that; all I was offered is Monopoly Money.
