The Tatham Stamp Company of Springfield, MA was a well-known philatelic mail order house that was in business from the 1930s into the mid-1960s. I have just posted a 'new' 1950 Tatham catalog here
https://stampsmarter.org/learning/H...atalogs.html
It is a fun walk down memory lane… "25 Different US Match and Medicine stamps for $5.00!"

The Tatham Stamp Company rose to fame based on its mail order services and also for its series of 15 numbered TASCO educational booklets that it produced from the late 1930s to the 1950s. I have many of these posted on this page.
https://stampsmarter.org/learning/a...co_home.html

The Tasco booklets are now being collected themselves and prices have risen over the last 5 years.

I have really enjoyed reading through that catalog last night and this morning. It has a sort of whimsical tone like things that would have been published by K Bileski back in the day.

It brings back a lot of memories although given that it's 1950, it's a little bit before my time. Still, there were catalogs like this one in the late 60s and early 70s when I started collecting. Kenmore comes to mind but they were in no way as whimsical or as enjoyable as this Tathham catalog that Don linked us to.

I would love seeing additional catalogs like this one on StampSmarter if they potentially arise.
