I collect covers.... but I don't collect them in ways most would.

i don't care how rare they are, all that matters to me is that they represent a naturally franked, travelled cover with aesthetic top value, faultless cover with faultless stamps and beautiful calligraphy

this cover intrigues me and fulfill all my requirements, but I don't understand anything written on it - can anyone shed some light on this cover, and it seems to be pricy, not sure why.

The cover is from Kiev. It is registered. It is pretty.

The stated price of 67 euros is not outrageous.

Bilingual front: The cover is addressed to Alex Larsen.Upper part in Russian (name ,address, street, town) ,lower part in what looks like German; same thing (name ,address, town ,street ect...)
Backside; senders address..

If it "intrigues [you] and fulfill all [your] requirements" why does anything else matter?
On one hand, you say that you collect covers differently than others; well, OK. Then on the other, you want to know more about the cover (price justification) even after your requirements are met, which means perhaps you don't really collect covers differently than others.

I can see how this could be interpreted like that.

correct rates, time of usage etc. are factors that are important to me as I have a strong distaste for anything provoked, and i'm always on guard when I see

this is way out of my expertise area, and as I help others within my area I was hoping I could request the same from this forum and hope someone had russia as their area.

and I have absolutely no literature on this subject.

500DKR for a beautiful registered letter that there's nothing special about is a little pricy.. this cover I can't figure why is registered, perhaps it would be between authorities as it doesn't seem to have held value.

i guess those are questions I should have simply asked instead of.

What makes you think

Maybe, if you decipher the company name in Kyiv, you can figure out what may have been sent.

To me it looks as the second row on the address side ends with 10Rub written in kyrillic. This probably indicates that this has been an insured letter and insured for 10 Ruble. The seals seems to be 4 from the sender and one from the post office an that indicates that the content has been checked at the post office and the cover sealed there. The fee for insured covers were the same as for registered plus a fee depending on how high the value was. The value dependent fee could sometimes be paid in cash.
If you look carefully on this cover you can see a pencil note below the 20 kop stamp reading "140/b " . That is the selling price in Swedish Kroner indicated by Gothenburg postal history dealer Göran Fredrikson. Göran was the leading postal history dealer on shows and expos in Northern Europe for 40 years until he passed away in Covid 19. The letter b indicates that this item was sold quite early in his career.

It's a cover of a money letter, with 10 rubles enclosed - that's why it was sealed on the back. It was a considerable sum at that time.

The sender's company is Schu#1089;kert & Co. Russian Company (Russische Gesellschaft Schu#1089;kert & Co.)

did see the 10, didn't know the rest was currency.. usually a registered/money letter would have some kind of slip, cancel or crayon from the countries I normally collect.

i never look at russia, but I was curious to see if there was an increased interest due to war in this category, and that's why I stumpled on this cover.
