If you look carefully on this cover you can see a pencil note below the 20 kop stamp reading "140/b " . That is the selling price in Swedish Kroner indicated by Gothenburg postal history dealer Göran Fredrikson. Göran was the leading postal history dealer on shows and expos in Northern Europe for 40 years until he passed away in Covid 19. The letter b indicates that this item was sold quite early in his career.
that's very interesting and good info, never heard of him though.

It's a cover of a money letter, with 10 rubles enclosed - that's why it was sealed on the back. It was a considerable sum at that time.
thank you.

To me it looks as the second row on the address side ends with 10Rub written in kyrillic. This probably indicates that this has been an insured letter and insured for 10 Ruble
did see the 10, didn't know the rest was currency.. usually a registered/money letter would have some kind of slip, cancel or crayon from the countries I normally collect.
i never look at russia, but I was curious to see if there was an increased interest due to war in this category, and that's why I stumpled on this cover.
