I have this stamp, and I hope that it is without the grill, I know that it can be very weak. but I might have found it, can anyone see if I`m right.

niels, I think you need to post a good photo of the entire back of the stamp.

Here is a scan of the hole back, and now I`m not so sure that there is a grill.
perhaps it is the paper.structure.

It does appear to have a grill sorry to say. If you look in the lower left corner a grill portion is there but not clear. Then if you look at the top right corner a grill is more apparent. This is consistent with a grill being applied but being off centered when ran over the grill roller.

Pretend you are looking for a watermark and dip it in fluid, the grill should show up more clearly.

A word of caution, the image of the full reverse side shown above is rotated 90 degrees to the right which may introduce confusion to the conversation.

The composite here has both tops at the top, bottoms at the bottom, with a left/right flip: However the resolution of the pairing is reduced so that not much detail is visible.

I agree, with revcollector, for the first step I would treat it like a watermark.
