Presumably an assemblage that large is likely to have some essays and proofs, though none are shown. Do you have a special section for essays, proofs, and experimentals of the first issue stamps (or any others)? Do you venture into the tax paids, i.e. tobacco?
Actually, I never ventured into essays and proofs. I have a few scattered about that were acquired as parts of other lots and collections, but nothing organized.
I also do not collect non-Scott-listed revenues, e.g., taxpaids, etc. Have to draw the line somewhere, as the revenue field is ginormous.
The core of my collection is 1st-3rd issues, and to a lesser extent Spanish-American War period material. Emphasis on cancels, plate varieties, and documents.
What you see on the website (census and reference pages notwisthstanding) is essentially my collection. Sadly (or gladly, depending on how you look at it), I have numerous cartons of material yet-to-be-added... just not enough hours in the day/week/month/year.
I thought I would get more accomplished once I retired, but the reverse has been true as I have so many interests... I've gotten less done on the collection and website in the last 2 years than I had hoped.
