Here are 3 examples of what I'm talking about.....glue that I can remove without damaging the card and the cancel basically unharmed. |

bigd1101, if the tan areas on the left side of those 3 cards are the remnants of the glue and cannot be removed entirely then the cards are damaged/disfigured. The value will be heavily discounted. |

So, in this condition, something common like the 3rd one show will essentially have no value, while the second on with a more interesting cancel might retain a bit of value (but not a lot since Detroit isn't exactly a small town). At first glance the first appears to be a Boston negative, but the hard to see cancel is not Boston, so again maube still a little value. |

Probably best to focus on the cards that are not glued....there is plenty of them. |

^^ bigd1101, Did you upload some new images just now with the same name as other pictures you posted recently? I clearly saw the glue residue on the postcards you uploaded earlier, but now what I see in that message are three pretty clean National Webster Bank backsides with no glue residue and no cancel visible. Same with the "yikes" photo on the previous page with the cards attached to the scrapbook pages. I don't see that one anymore. |

Folks.....for some reason, the scan above was switched to those three Boston cards. Don't know why, but those are not the ones I had posted earlier. |

Please note; If you upload two images with the same file name on the same day it will use the first uploaded image. Therefore, you should always make sure that you use unique image files names for each day. Don |
