What is the month and day on the 1905 Guelma, Algeria, postmark? I don't understand the meaning of 15E 25.

https://calendars.fandom.com/wiki/A...endar_months provides names of the months but none seem to reduce to a simple "E" from what I see there. In fact none are spelled with an "E" nor "e"

15 probably refers to the hour - i.e. 3pm - with the actual month not having been printed with the cancel. It's "Algeria", rather than "Algiers", by the way.

From a link in an earlier thread, the ordinal number top left is a 'numero levée.'

15 with the small E and hyphen : most likely fifteenth
"Numéro de levée" just as NSK said
25 : day number

Could that partial 'N' below '15e' be part of 'NOV.' or 'NOVEM' for Novembre?

15th emptying (15th emptying or emptying during the 15th hour?), 25 Novembre 1905?
