Very nice cancellation.

This is called a 'multi-value coil strip.' This 5p strip comes in a wide range of varieties. Some are very cheap but a few are very expensive.

Edit: They were dispensed from stamp vending machines.

That first stamp is used. It, just, has not been cancelled. As long as you keep the coil strip as it is, it remains obvious the strip has been cancelled. The bigger issue with that stamp is the missing perforations on the left. It is common for these strips to have short perforations top or bottom when cut too close to the stamp image. On the sides, where other strips were attached, the perforations should be 'normal.'

These were sideways delivery coils. If you look carefully, the tiny droplets of ink will have an ink flow to the left or right; i.e., the stamps were printed sideways and not upright.
