I have about 20 of these 1923 (excuse me if the date is not 100% accurate) line pair 2 cent Washington stamps ...but I am not sure to which Scott number they should belong. They are Perf. 10's vertically. I know there is a subtle difference in each like kind so if anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

While the stamps are horizontal (orientation of the stamps themselves) coil pairs, the perforations are in fact vertical. Since you have more of these, you may want to take a close look at Washington's hair in the remaining pairs. The ones shown are all 599 ... but there is a more valuable variety, 599A.

I wanted to just say that you posted a very helpful illustration on a different subject. Four line pairs of the same stamp showing four different appearing line pairs regarding the joint line between the plates. Make explaining how the line of line pairs can vary much easier. Thank you.

Just to make the thread even more 'image complete'; here is a 599/599A line pair.
This showed up at my local stamp club auction (Asheville Stamp Club) and was not recognized as being a very rare (a word I do not often use) pair by the other folks. I snapped it up for $75

Is your "high resolution" image available to others when posting or is it a moderator special? The resolution is spectacular.

If you right click on the image and then copy or go to the link address, you will see that the image is being hosted Stamp Smarter website. I occasionally do this for other folks (when asked) for others (i.e. in the 1c and 3c plating threads).

"I snapped it up for $75"

Excellent image! But I wonder about not recognized, $75 is pretty hefty (even in absence of Scott listing of such a "setenant" pair), so some in club had to recognize to get it up that much!
