Hello everyone. I'm new here and I have a pretty huge stamp collection. I'm wondering how best way is to determine value. I have a large collection with many thousands of stamps mostly $1 and under vs. a lesser amount of stamps worth $10 or more each is best way to describe. I do have many souvenir sheets as well. Thank you

The value will mostly be determined by the more valuable stamps. The thousands of stamps worth $1 or less, essentially, are kiloware, or if unused (depending on the country) discounted postage.

Condition also is important. So, it is very difficult to tell you how much it is worth. Dealers and auctioneers will look at completion in the classics and get a good impression from the coverage of 1920s and 1930s. After that period, there is little value.

You might post some pictures of the early stamps of countries like the USA, GB, Germany, France. Members can tell you what you should take into consideration.

Best way for you to do is check www.stamps.org and find a stamp club in your area. Someone there will most likely be willing to take a look at what you have and give you a suggestion as how to proceed

What do you mean by "value?" Resale as a whole is probably 10% of catalog value. Resale if you're willing to sell each stamp individually? Probably 50% of catalog value.
