As some of you know, I was using the Davo Hingeless USA Albums
But....... I did not like how Davo does not have the varieties listed in there albums. Especially the coil series in the 1847 book
So... I recently purchased Mystics Hingeless Albums, 1 through 5 and BoB ,and I have to say I really like them. I like how they have the Scott numbers under each stamp along with having all the varieties for all the different stamps.
I just wished they would squeeze a few more stamps on each page so the book used less pages. I also really like there Back of Book they offer.
Congratulations. Enjoy the mailings for Mystic. I use the Mystic Heirloom for my US collection.
Stamps per page is obviously a personal preference. Many collectors like more white space (less cramped layout).
With Mystic and others to, as you add stamps you will reach a point where you need to get more binders. The nice aspect of Mystic is they are printed on 8˝x11 paper so you can add pages that can blend in and use standard 3 ring binders if you are really on a budget.
I guess their heavier paper on the hingeless makes them use more binders. My non-hingeless Heirloom fits in 3 of the premium binders (to 73, to 93 and to 2000/BOB) and they are pretty much complete from 1925 on in Showgard/Scott mounts. I like the spacing, it looks good with black mounts. Mine is pre-Scott #'s. Pretty sure the premium binders are by Lighthouse. I also like the descriptions the Mystic albums give you. White Ace also does descriptions, I use them for Ireland. Ireland not quite the prolific stamp issuer that USA has been.
