Is there any value to centerline-pair coil stamps other than their basic single stamp catalogue value?

Scott specialized has cv's for coil line pairs and they are more than single stamp cv's.

Some can be fairly high - depends on what you have

rb,
It might help to provide an example or two of the type of material you are asking about.

That said, "centerline" would indicate flat plate coils to me (as opposed to "joint line").
And flat plate coils being an area with plenty of fakery requires considerable knowedge or buying only certified examples.
It may just be your word choice, so I apologize in advance, but your question suggests you may be swimming in deeper water than you know.

Because of all the fakes associated with the Third bureau Issue, flat plate coils are best collected as joint pairs or line pairs, which makes watermark detection easier. I also prefer mine certified to remove doubt. #390-394 are line pairs; 395 and 396 are joint pairs.

Here are good examples of the fake flat plate coils which, thinking they were correctly identified, I sent for certs (at $25@), only to get the bad news that I was wrong.
