Definitely an extremely common stamp, but after the (at least) 100s of these I have seen I can't recall seeing the value offset this much. Generally there is a fair difference between the placement between two, however this one is extremely offset to the left.

Just wondered if anyone has seen similar or if this is indeed something rather strange.

Thanks,
Kernelgui

Quite common for issues of this era and this value in particular. Per the Michel catalog a shift of at least 3 mm is good for about 5-10 euros. Definitely collectible!

Thanks for the comments Germania!

Definitely interesting and it will make it into my German collection (which is rather substantial so I find many additions from lots that I purchase) although likely not very valuable as the shift on mine is only slightly above 2 mm

A 3mm shift would definitely look extremely strange - I'll have to watch out for that.
