Here are Canada 1334-1337 Stamps;

I was reviewing the excellent topic of Canada Post and Mcdonalds located here;

https://goscf.com/t/19975

One thing I find odd, is the fact that only two stamps (Chinook Wind and Buried Treasure) were used on the Mcdonalds promotion products. Assuming many thousands were made (French and English) to use across Canada for Mcdonalds promotion then;

This means that many thousands of stamps (Witched Canoe and Orphan Boy) were 'left over' as singles (or pairs) when the production of the Mcdonalds gameboards was complete.

What was done with them?

Did Canada Post do another promotion with only these 'other' two stamps? It seems difficult to believe that these leftovers were just sent to post offices to be placed on mail. For the Quarterly Packs and the Annual Collections, I am pretty sure that a complete block of this issue would have been included. (So they were not used there). Did these just 'lay around' until it was time to dispose of Commemorative issues and they were destroyed?

I was unable to find an image of a complete sheet to try to figure the original distribution of each stamp on the pane - it appears that they were se-tenant throughout the pane with 10 complete blocks and 10 singles. Can anyone post an image of the sheet? (Is this a sign that I could not find an image??)

Thanks for your thoughts!

Sac - thanks for the sheet image

So, it seems that the Post Office used two stamps that comprised only 20 of the 50 available stamps. Again odd, why would you work so hard to tear up more sheets then you really needed too, if you had chosen the 'other' two stamps?

I came across this Special Event Cover for Mcdonalds house;

And again - the stamps used are the same ones used for the Foktales Mcdonalds game sheets!! All the ones available on auction sites are the same stamps, so I dont think they used other stamps for the Special Event Covers.

I continue to search for answers.......
