HipStamp Registration Needs Help…

So I registered on Hipstamp, and pretty quickly - matter of minutes - received an email to confirm application. I hit the link and received confirm message. But when I log in andI try to access my account preferences, all I see is a grey out verify account link. So I hit that and it says it's already been used.

Come to find out , my account is set up, I can't access it yet until I'm approved by a real person, which I'm guessing don't work Fridays , sat or sun, yet I'm already getting spam email from them.

What a joke.

I'd email them for help, think if you scroll down to the bottom of any given page, you'll find that info but am pulling that off of memory. I've always had a pretty quick response from Hip when I've emailed them. Not always helpful, but they at least did respond.

Well I tried some chatbot thingie on their site, filled out the info and got a reply that I'd hear back in a few days. But I e already received about 4 spams in 1 day. Apparently no humans work their on the weekend!

I can now access all functions of site even though I never received account confirmed email per Hipstamp email & policy…. Not impressed so far.

Garbage website by a garbage company.

The notion that simply coming back to the site automatically opts you in to ALL seller emails, no matter what you manually opted OUT of in the past, is insane. I can't help but think that has to be against privacy/consumer laws somewhere...

I go out of my way to avoid Hipstamp... meaning the APS has lost my business completely (and I used to spend a few hundred dollars a year at the APS store).

From what I understand, HipStamp is a very small company with a very small staff. It does not surprise me that they have no Live support over the weekends for routine (non-emergency) services.

In general, I prefer to support the little guy versus the big corporations, but not set too high expectations in either case.

A little off-topic, but, after I got registered I had a little problem trying to figure out how to ( or if one could ) do a search for consecutive SG cataloged items. The C/S person who responded to my chat text seemed like they didnt even understand what I was asking and then the discord.com site they have you sign up for to access the Community based help is BEYOND CONFUSING !
