Was wondering if someone in Los Angeles would like to buy some of my stamp collection. I don't know how to post the photos #128565;#8205;#128171; but it is a very good collection in a Scott specialty album ,along with some stock books.

This will sound mean, it's not: prospective buyers will be the judge of the collection's quality. Without knowing your experience and knowledge as a collector (and without pictures), your personal evaluation can only be met with skepticism.

There are three local shows in the area: at the Arcadia Masonic lodge on duarte the first Saturday of every month, at the van nuys Masonic lodge on sherman way on the first Sunday of every month, and a show that usually lands on the 2nd or 3d Sunday of the month in Anaheim at the brookhurst community center

Good luck with the stamps. Check out the local clubs in your area. Up here in Oregon we have one Saturday a month where other collectors can show and sell their stamps. Much can be learned from them in a face to face gathering.

Goldnstamps999,

Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences.

My personal bias is a used stamp loses the story of its journey in the postal service when it is removed from the cover it transported to its destination. Collecting postal history adds a whole new aspect to your journey in our hobby.

Wishing you many enjoyable future days in our hobby. Russ
