Hi All,

I decided to get back to stamp collecting after a gap of nearly 30 years. I am from New Zealand but now live in Ireland. I decided to collect NZ stamps so bought an old Stanley Gibbons ring binder with NZ leaves and spaces for stamps...The issue is it looks like these are no longer available. I have bought a digital catalogue but really liked the pre-printed leaves with the SG code and picture so I could see what I was missing from the collection.

Does anyone know if these can still be found? - I have done some googling but can't find anything. Is it just plain albums now days ?

Cheers
Grant

Stanley Gibbons outsourced its albums to Dauwalders. Some years ago, SG published a new range of one-country albums that are rebranded DAVO albums.

Am I correct in thinking SG 'codes' are SG 'catalogue numbers?'
What album did you buy?

They have albums of the type I think you are describing (Windsor, Monarch), but those are for GB stamps.

Thanks so much for the quick reply. Yes, SG is the stanley gibbons stamp codes. I bought an old 3 ring stanley gibbons folder which had some stamps in it..but the rare ones had been removed :-)

Thanks for the clue regarding DAVO. I went googling and have found this - https://davo.nl/en/webshop/luxe-sta...w-zealand-i/

But I can't tell if this is just the folder. I see they have a LUXE range as well which, from the blurb, has leaves and spaces for stampes but its quiet expensive at 150 euro!

Cheers

'Stamp codes?'

The DAVO (SG) Luxe album range has pages with clear mounts. Those are expensive. The content is pretty basic. For New Zealand, they have nine albums. Each comes with pre-printed pages with clear mounts.

Volume I covers issues 1855 - 1967, € 153
Volume II covers issues 1967 - 1985, € 177
Volume III covers issues 1986 - 1995, € 177
Volume IV covers issues 1996 - 2002, € 206
Volume V covers issues 2003 - 2009, € 210
Volume VI covers issues 2010 - 2014, € 194
Volume VII covers issues 2015 - 2018, € 187
Volume VIII covers issues 2019 - 2022, € 177
Volume IX covers issues 2023 - , € 107

Gibbons used to produce a red or claret-coloured group of one-country albums for a few Commonwealth countries, but abandoned these in the last few years. They weren't especially attractive, although they covered the basics.

Here's an example

Lindner has a hingeless New Zealand offering, https://www.lindner-original.de/en/...ew%20zealand if non-SG numbering/organization is something you'd consider.

Another option which may or may not appeal is to print your own.
