A question for my stamp friends: I have a #26 type III on cover, the left side design runs into and over the side boarder line. Is this considered a defect in the stamp or is it a common problem with the stamp??
Thanks in advance

Post a picture. Usually with the 3c, the recut framelines are running into the design.

Looks normal to me. Some frame lines are cut very close. Could be a slight doubling of the frame line as well. Have to check if the specialized catalog calls that out.

Like Nicholas said its very close.

The left frame line double is listed in the 2025 U.S. Specialized for $21.00 for a single off the cover. Add a dollar for being on the cover as a conservative figure. All in all it is a very nice looking cover. JMHO
