Hi Everyone!
Expat here living in New England. 55 years old and getting back into collecting.
Things have changed alot since the introduction of "Online"
I used to go to auctions in the UK and purchase albums and "strip" them to find those nuggets. None of that now! Old albums go for so much money now and most of the nuggets have been removed.
I have a very complete Mint UK in Stanley Gibbons Windsor albums that I purchased in 2008. Struggling to find anything from 2008 suppliment wise so any help would be good!
So generaly filling in the gaps with ebay purchases and continuing with mint from 1998 onwards that I missed since being here in the States
. Im going to start selling duplicates to start generating funds!
Looks like a good site for hints and help!

Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences.

My personal bias is a used stamp loses the story of its journey in the postal service when it is removed from the cover it transported to its destination. Collecting postal history adds a whole new aspect to your journey in our hobby. Sounds like you are a perfect candidate to become a postal history collector?

Wishing you many enjoyable future days in our hobby. Russ
