I'm liking the engraving on the earlier Revenues and Covers..Here's a few pages I hope you enjoy,,..., ps, I may need to find couple Rev. catalogs or CD ... Sorry the scans were crowded. The auction preview only showed a few pages, but now Revenues will get more of my area of interest. Thanks to the members here who shared their expertise.

Very nice. Worldwide revenues is a huge undertaking, just from a catalogue/reference perspective. The only WW reference is the Forbin catalogue, published over 100 years ago. The next ones to try and track down are probably the Barefoot catalogues, as he covers a very large portion of the world's revenue and also telegraph stamps. Yvert's catalogue of French revenue stamps is fairly comprehensive, relatively inexpensive, and gets updates every 5 years or so.

I found that to be the most daunting aspect of collecting WW revenues: a myriad of country-specific catalogues, written in different languages, at $40-100 each... it's a slow undertaking.

Thank you RevenueCollector, your posts are always admired. I can't speak Farsi or Japanese, so it may be a long , but enjoyable road. The fiscal issued stamps really are expansive in contrast to the postal issued stamps. The Taxman cometh , then and now.
